About Me

For the last 4 years, I have been a consultant in the Thames Valley and West London Region diagnosing and treating patients with prostate enlargement and cancer, urinary incontinence, and kidney stones and cancer. I specialise in rapid diagnostic techniques and minimally invasive treatments, having trained in medical school and university hospitals in the UK and the USA.

My time is dedicated almost completely to the clinical needs of my patients, with a little time to management issues. I am actively involved in the training of other consultants and trainees in laparoscopic surgery on the kidney (nephrectomy, pyeloplasty) and prostate (radical prostatectomy), tapes and Botox for urinary incontinence; and the laser treatment of stones in the kidney.  In addition to practising urology at Heatherwood and Wexham Park, I perform laparoscopic cancer surgery at the Cancer Centre at the Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospitals. My clinical responsibilities include research and audit in the techniques we are developing.

I practise with Mr Omer Karim and Mr Hanif Motiwala, who are also consultant urologists. We care for each other's patients when one of us is unavailable and have access to the records of each other's patients when needed.

I believe strongly in continuous medical education and development. As such, I not only teach, but attend international courses and meetings to increase my knowledge, refine and introduce new techniques that are likely to be to the benefit of patients.
